Delivered by GWH, ONE represents the completion of Newcastle’s tallest residential buildings, with the North Tower reaching 70.6 metres and the South Tower 77.8 metres above ground.
Constructed entirely above ground, the project required extensive piling works (198 piles) to support the towers and podium structure while addressing complex ground conditions typical of the Newcastle CBD, including legacy mine workings that required detailed investigation and comprehensive mine grouting. Major sewer upgrades and service relocations were undertaken as part of early enabling works.
A significant suspended podium slab forms the primary communal level, structurally supporting extensive resident amenities and separating the public domain from the residential towers above.
