Heatherbrae Supa Centre was developed by GWH in response to rapid population growth in the Port Stephens corridor and limited access to national-brand retail servicing the area. Located on the Pacific Highway, the project was conceived to attract major bulky goods, food and convenience retailers typically drawn to metropolitan markets, consolidating Heatherbrae as a retail destination for the growing Raymond Terrace and Port Stephans communities. Anchored by national tenants including Anaconda, Petbarn, RSEA, Subway, Red Rooster, Oporto and Metro Service Station the centre provides high-exposure retail supported by clear access, strong visibility and efficient site circulation, strengthening the local retail offering and supporting long-term economic activity in the region.

Delivered by GWH, the project required significant early-stage works to enable development on a previously unserviced parcel of land. Major undertakings included a new signalised intersection and road upgrades, complex sewer infrastructure works, stormwater easements and flood mitigation measures.
Hunter Geotechnical Services led site investigation and ground preparation, while Hunter Precast supplied structural elements across the build. Hunter Structural Steel delivered major structural steel packages, and Hunter Windows manufactured and installed aluminium window and façade systems.
Delivered through GWH’s vertically integrated model, the project demonstrates disciplined coordination across civil, structural and building works to deliver a robust, future-ready retail asset.
