Macquarie Tower August Construction Update

Activity is bustling on every level of the building:

• Level 3 Childcare: The childcare facility is 65% complete, with joinery installation expected to be finished in the coming days.
• Level 4: The commercial base build fit-out is nearly complete.
• Level 5: Service rough-in and framing are well underway.
• Level 6: Service rough-in is ongoing.
• Level 7: Set to be stripped in the coming weeks.

The site is a hive of activity with a myriad of trades working tirelessly. From the structural team, form workers, and concreters to the final finishing teams handling door hanging, painting, tiling, joinery, and partition installation, every trade contributes to the swift progress on site.

To date, we’ve used over 5,000 cubic meters of concrete, delivered in approximately 793 truck movements, and installed an average of 65 precast panels per floor. Hunter Readymixed Concrete has been a key partner in ensuring a steady supply of materials.

WHAT'S HAPPENING ONSITE:

• Two-week structural cycles, despite challenging weather conditions
• Rough-in and framing trades on the residential levels are ready to get started
• Fit-out teams are diligently completing the commercial spaces in preparation for their respective fit-outs
• Our crane has reached its final height of 78.6 meters.

WHAT'S COMING UP NEXT ONSITE:

• Anticipate topping out the structure by November, weather permitting
• Installation of the glazed façade
• Framing of residential apartments is set to commence in September
• Commercial fit outs are scheduled to start in September on Levels 4-7.
