Our History

The GWH of today is the successful result of over 25 years of innovation to redefine and improve the building process from beginning to end. Along the journey, we've established our most valuable assets – a highly experienced, qualified team and long-standing strategic partnerships that enable our unique vertical integration.

Within a year of founding GWH, Grahame Chevalley and Hilton Grugeon AM completed their first industrial building in Thornton. Ten years and numerous major commercial and industrial projects later, we were the proud winners of the Master Builders Newcastle 2015 Excellence in Building Award. It was recognition of our passion for excellence, quality and the desire to build up and support our region's home and business owners.

Over $1 billion of successful building projects

Since 1995, we've completed a breadth of projects for an extensive number of local businesses as well as major Australian organisations operating in our Hunter region. From fire stations, business parks, hotels and shopping centres to bulky goods, warehouses, service stations and self-storage – every project was successfully delivered on budget and on time.

GWH's residential developments in prime locations continue to break new ground by ensuring homeowners and investors have access to affordable living without compromising on quality. With many more industrial, commercial and residential projects in the pipeline, we look forward to the next 20 years continuing to make property possible.
